“Chicago Collegiate Church”
A church that has proven that the Authorized Version, the King James Version, of the Bible is the Bible. See Biblical Textual Criticism.
A church that follows the Bible.
A church that follows the Authorized Version, the King James Version, of the Bible.
A church that uses the IAC, the International Authorized Commentary.
A church that follows the established principles of scientific biblical hermeneutics (principles of interpretation). The principles of scientific biblical hermeneutics applied to the Scriptures yield the theology of Christianity. More specifically, this is the theology of Bible Churches, Baptist Churches, and almost all other Protestant churches. Note that far less than 1% of Protestant churches do not follow all of the theology of Christianity but even then they still manage to follow 99.99% of Christian theology. Roman Catholic Churches follow around 90%. We are just beginning to develop the Christian theology page (see the Theology page on the original L. F. Nexus website).
A church that follows the shared Statement of Faith.
A church that has human leadership. This human leadership, of course, has divine leadership.
A church where the human leadership consists of men except that women can be leaders of other women, of girls, and of boys below the “age of transformation.” (The age of transformation is the age when a child first thinks like an adult.)
A church whose primary mission is the promotion of love and good works, which includes being used of God to bring people to a profession of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 says:
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Note the words “to provoke unto love and to good works.” The primary mission of a church is to promote “love and…good works.”
A church that respects the denominational name of every other church.
