TYPICAL CONSULTANT HIRING PROCESS

 

 

The hiring process usually unfolds as follows:
 

1.  Consultant gets an email or phone call from a recruiter.  If a phone call, consultant and recruiter discuss the essential points vis-a-vis the opportunity.

 

2.  Consultant sends their resume to the recruiter.

 

3.  Resume is submitted to recruiter's client.

 

4.  Consultant has one or more phone conferences with recruiter(s) / recruiter’s client(s).

 

5.  Recruiter's client is interested and calls consultant in for a face-to-face interview.

 

6.  Consultant interviews in person with recruiter's client.

 

7.  Consultant gets job.

 
8.  Consultant meets recruiter face-to-face, fills out a variety of forms, and signs various documents, including a contract.
