The Nike CD's are now in the Archives of the White Sands Missile Range Historical Foundation.

If you are doing cold war research or have an interest in missile defense for the 1950's and 1960's or if you are former military personnel with interest in missiles then these CD's are for you !

Nike CD was produced in 1999 and now has the auto-start feature for windows. It contains Nike Hercules and Nike Ajax material from the 1950's-60's cold war era. A 28 minute military film entitiled “The Nike Hercules Story" The Western Electric Booklet "Countdown to Survival" By Mark S. Watson and numerous photos and info from the era. Mark S. Watson was a distinguished writer of the period and his booklet was an important work of the cold war era  that was was " lost  history"  that I found and have reproduced on the CD !

Nike - CD ll. Copyright 2003 The CD includes 5 videos via Hayden Moody, Rolf Dieter Goerigk, Nathan Harris and myself. I put part of Hayden Moody's 8mm film to sound and have included it as a 50 second video clip on the CD. The 2min. 36sec. look at the Malpais Missile area that Hayden shot (silent footage). Rolf Dieter Goerigk has a 3 min 5sec clip dubbed in German from "White Sands." I shot a 1 min. 50 second video of a recently discovered (at least for me, because I didn't know it was there) Nike-Ajax missile at the Cortessi Memorial Park in Villa Park Illinois. Last but not least a forensic look at Nike Site LA-43 at San Pedro California, shot in 2001 by Nathan Harris. 36 min 18sec. Included are: * 268 pages of the manual "Guided Missile System, XSAM-A-7" prepared by Douglas Aircraft from 1955. * A synopsis I wrote on the Nike-Apache missiles that were launched from Keweenaw Michigan during 1971 includes photos from the era. Keweenaw launches were some of the first peaceful research tests conducted in the midwest using the Nike booster as a primary element for this project. *The Roland Bruce Burgan color photo of a winter Nike-Apache blast-off. (picture-1)* Artifacts to look at such as a Nike-Ajax collectible card, Nike event covers from when NASA was launching sounding rockets with Nike boosters. The CD holds 314 pages of research and history. The 5 video total running time is approx 44 minutes. The CD auto-starts in Windows and can be manually used in MAC's since I based it on the Adobe Acrobat format.  If you own a Mac "say so" because you get the Nathan Harris video on a 3rd CD for Mac. These are after all the Only Full Multi-Media CD's currently on Nike Missiles !!
